Punjab CM emphasises need for changing 'thana culture'

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday stressed the need for reforming the 'thana culture' alongside the police service centers.

He made these remarks during a ceremony held for the distribution of new vehicles and uniforms to the Punjab Highway Patrol Police.

Naqvi, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, personally handed over the keys of the new vehicles and the uniforms to the highway patrol police personnel.

The chief minister stated that every effort was being made to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of the police force.
In this regard, he added, a comprehensive plan had been devised for the upgrade of 750 police stations across Punjab.

The chief minister emphasised that the government's foremost priority was to ensure justice for the common man within the police stations.

He urged the police to treat citizens with respect, as it was a fundamental step in providing them with the relief and justice they deserved.
